ABOUT ME

Sophie Hug, Dr. med. vet., Dip ECEIM

Since my graduation in 2006 I have been working as an equine vet. After completing my dissertation and woring two years in a private large animal practice, I spent a further 5 years at the Equine Internal Medicine Department at the animal hospital of the  University of Zurich to complete a residency programme with the European College of Equine Internal Medicine (ECEIM). I passed  the board exams successfully to become a diplomate in 2013. During this time I have gained a lot of experience and seen many interesting and challenging cases. Currently I also work one day per week for the Tierklinik Stockrüti (Berg, TG) as Equine Internal Medicine Specialist.

It has always been my goal to take this knowledge back out into field practice. As I am not only a swiss but also a british citizen I always enjoy meeting english speaking clients and their horses.
